atheists … mark your calendar

A friend recently brought this to my attention. It seems those that deny GOD … atheists, as they are called … have complained that Christians have Good Friday, Easter and Christmas, but they have no special day of celebration. Many outspoken atheists have even gone so far as to register their complaint to the State and Federal government.

But actually atheists around the world have had a special day all along … built right into our calendar … and that day is today … April 1st … April Fools Day.
It appears King David founded this day when he wrote in Psalm chapter 14 verse one:
“The fool says in his heart, `There is no GOD` …”

It saddens me when I think of my friends and relatives who either absolutely deny GOD or ignore His pull on their heart. Both have the same results … no hope beyond this life.

But the message of hope remains unchanged and still rings clear with these words from Jesus himself:
“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die….” John 11:25
