Like a Waterfall

A while back on a spiritual journey blog of mine, I made a post using this same title. There’s a reason I’ve done this. I believe that all of have us certain lifesongs – ones which mark spiritual highs, or ones that simply define who we are. One of my lifesongs is called Overflow, written by one of my favorite singers Chris Tomlin. This song has impacted me in ways I cannot explain, and it is a reminder for me of just how wonderful and generous God is. For me, music is my bridge to meeting with God.

I don’t know about you, but my life has never seen happier moments, then when I really sink my teeth into the words from that song. When I spend the time to hit the pause button in life, and wrap myself around the idea that God gives us everything, I understand it all. That when we are in need, he supplies, and continues to give, regardless of how undeserving we are. And the slivers of my life when I am blessed enough to encounter these moments, are probably my most favorite times to be alive. Thank you, God.

Music has always been my bridge to meeting with God as well. My most worshipful times are when I am going home from work at 0615 in the morning ( I work 6-6 weekend nights which explains why I am posting this now ) and listening to Phillips Craig and Dean music which is amazingly annointed. I find I will get home dog tired but stay in my car for 20 or 30 minutes just singing and praising the Lord. Wow I enjoy those times. Thank you Lord
