Oh Reverend Where Art Thou ?

Mad dog reporters are frantically seeking interviews with all who knew the late Michael Jackson, with the hope of shedding light on the mysteries behind his passing.

One famous reporter … known for his prime-time television interviews with celebrities and “fresh news personalities” … asked two “Reverends” several questions about the life and death of Jackson. These two “ministers” spoke of his accomplishments and talents as an entertainer and humanitarian … but mentioned nothing about Jackson’s spiritual connection with GOD. With a national audience listening these men of the church never spoke the name of our only eternal hope. They kept silent about Jesus.

I do not know Michael Jackson’s eternal place. What I do know is that GOD provided a way for us to be with Him through His Son Jesus Christ. If Michael Jackson believed and received Jesus … then he has a heavenly home with our Savior. If not then, according to GOD’s word, he is in a place of eternal torment. Its as simple as one of Jackson’s own hit songs … “Black or White”.

Although I am disappointed with the two men who have the title “Reverend” in front of their names and yet ignored telling a TV audience of the hope we have in Christ… how many times have I kept silent about Jesus ? Where is my testimony when I have a chance to proclaim it ?
“Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart … And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”
1 John 5:10-11

And finally … I really enjoyed Michael Jackson’s music … as a matter of fact I saw his opening night Victory Tour at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City back in 1984.
The place rocked.
I hope Michael trusted Jesus.

4 Celebs met the afterlife this week. I find it ironic how little “professional” spiritual advisors offer the public in the way of an eternal life with Jesus.

Will there ever be a bigger stage then in these days to proclaim the truth?

As far as MJ, I was a big fan back in the day. I saw him during the Bad tour. A total life experience. What a gift he shared with us. I hope those accusations about child abuse were false. But I hope even more that at sometime in MJ’s life he experienced the forgiving love and salvation Jesus offers us all.
