Generally speaking many parents and their children welcome the the story of the first Christmas. Recently I stood next to a mom and dad near a Nativity scene, and listened as they told their two toddlers how cute Baby Jesus looked in his manger crib.
Unfortunately few parents seem as eager to tell their children about Jesus the Savior. While moms and dads expect their kids to be “good little boys and girls” … they neglect to inform them that without Jesus all the wrong things they’ve done will never be forgiven.
Finally, I have encountered even fewer parents who have explained to their children that this Baby and Savior Jesus is also Jesus their Judge. The single determining factor that decides the eternal home of their children is ignored. What a tragedy.
This Christmas open all three packages for your kids …
Jesus the Baby, the Savior, and the Judge. All three packages contain “the good news” of God’s unmatched gift
… the gift of His Son Jesus.
Before he was born, an angel told Joseph what to name this Baby, Savior, and Judge. The angel said:
” … give Him the name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21
