the funeral crasher

I recently spoke at a golf outing and dinner in the west Chicago suburb of St. Charles. It was organized to raise money to help families with children who are in a battle against cancer. Before being served dinner the 300 plus attendees watched a very emotional picture video celebrating the life of some of the children who lost this fight. Sad to think of the pain parents and family members must have experienced at those funerals.

In 2006-07 there was a movie released called “The Wedding Crashers”. And although I have not seen this movie … it made me think that someone should make a movie called “The Funeral Crasher”. You see Jesus was good at disrupting and spoiling funerals. As a matter of fact Jesus is still in that line of work today.

Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-14 …
“… we do not want you to be ignorant … like the rest of men who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.”

The only question that remains … is Jesus in YOU ?
Without Jesus there is no hope.
