Thinking of the Sponberg Family
For those of you who don’t know, Greg and Nicol Sponberg are probably welcoming a new life into the world today. Greg is planning on being a contributor on our website, after things with the new baby settle down. You might have heard of his wife Nicol, singer/songwriter (also known as Nicol Smith Sponberg of the Christian group Selah), who has such a beautiful and unique voice.
Anyway, I just spent a few minutes just now praying for a safe and healthy delivery for Nicol and the baby, as well as for strength and courage for Greg. Being a dad, and witnessing natural childbirth, I can promise you Greg needs prayer too!

Lord, keep Nicol & the baby safe today. May Nicol’s recovery be quick & the baby’s health never in jeopardy. Lift up Greg in this time. Give him wisdom to follow your will Lord and be an inspirational father and husband. Amen!

Here’s the scoop. Nicol was induced at 12:00 midnight on Wednesday, May 16. Almost 32 hours later (at 10:21 a.m. on Thursday, May 18) Summer Renee Sponberg was born. I am so proud of Nicol…she worked so incredibly hard! Summer weighed 9 pounds, 7 ounces and was 22-1/2 inches long. I know that I’m a biased and proud dad, but she’s absolutely beautiful. It’s incredible how much love we already have for her…and she’s only 2 days old. What a gift! Thank you Lord!

One final thought: treasure your wife and children today and do something a little out of the ordinary to let them know how much you love them.
Nicole Sponberg what an amazing and annointed voice. She has been to my church twice with Selah a few years back wehn they were still on the first cd. What a bleesing the music ministry has been to my wife and family. My kids sit in the back seat and can sing very word to nearly all of Nicole and Todds cds with selah as well as their solo releases. Greg congrats on the new baby girl and tell Nicole I thank her for letting God use her for through her ministry my wifes faith has gotten exponentially stronger. May your family be blessed beyond measure.
