too far gone to be a trophy ?

After speaking to a team of athletes this past week, one of them came up to me and said … “Mike I don’t see how God’s grace could possibly apply to me. I have done too many really bad things in my life. It’s far too late for me.”

This young man is missing the intent of God’s plan of redemption which began even before the fall of Adam and Eve. Jesus, a wonderful part of the Trinity, came to earth for the broken. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been … Jesus can give you a clean slate and make you a new person.

In the Bible we read that Noah was a drunk, King David was an adulterous murderer … Rahab was a prostitute … Mary Magdelene was demon possessed, Paul imprisoned, beat, and executed those that followed Christ, and the woman at the well had been divorced many times. But none of these folks were too far gone. Instead they became trophies of God’s grace.

Think you can’t be redeemed and then used for God ?
Listen to what the Lord says in Jeremiah 15:19
” … If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me … you will be my spokesman.”

Go to Jesus in confession and repentance … then ask Him to make you a trophy for Him.
