what's your title ?
I have met some men with impressive titles.
At the risk of being a “name dropper” … here are a few:
Dr. Joe Stowell … former President of Moody Bible Institute
John Elway – Super Bowl MVP
Dr. Bill Thrasher – Professor at Moody Bible Institute
Kurt Warner – Super Bowl MVP
Harry Swayne – Super Bowl player and the Bears Chaplain
Dr. Jim Nicodem – Pastor at Christ Community Church
Pat Williams – Co-founder of the Orlando Magic
Mike Hohensee – Coach of AFL champions Chicago RUSH
People are often identified by their titles. But I envy the title given by Paul to Titius Justus … a common Roman name. Listen to how Paul identifies Titius in Acts 18: 7 …
“Then Paul left the synagogue and went next door to the house of Titius Justus, a worshiper of God.”
That should be the title we all seek … every single day !
Funny, I just had to write a paper on leadership and why I wanted a promotion. I talked about the same thing, that titles mean nothing. Here is my last few sentences from the paper.
“Furthermore, a title or rank will not give me any special privileges or disposition. A true leader is a leader not because of what he wears on his uniform or the title on his door, but because of his character, selfless service, and the honor in his heart.”
The title I want is Lance, his a good Christian, husband and father. That’s all I need.
